Have you ever had a bike? Sure you had one. And an expensive one?
Wouldn’t you keep an eye on it?
Well, Norwegians, or ‘Nordmann’ as they call themselves, obviously do not.
That bike lay aside the way:
Not the merest hint of any owner. But locked.
It occurred to me that someone had just forgotten it there. No problem at all though a bit strange.
But as the days went by I found several other bikes! All of them left alone in the most unlikely places, e.g. along an Interstate, at crossroads.
That bike on the pic is still there, 9 days after I had discovered it.
Seems to be another national mannerism. Pah!
Think about: til now I haven't noticed anyone riding a bike in town...
